As part of its subsidies in 2018, the city of Senec supported our activities (in cooperation with the sheltered workshop WELLNEA) with the amount of 2000 Euro.
The submitted project is a continuation of the zero year from 2016, when 120 people took part in the cultural event on 12 May 2016, where the band DESMOD performed, moderated by Pišta Vandal, but which took place in the MsKS Senec cinema due to bad weather.
Next year 2017, we postponed the deadline to December and the pre-Christmas time due to a significant reduction in the required budget, when we had to combine this event with another charity event as the final presentation of the associated activities of our organization. Bekim (wheelchair rapper) with Piš Vandal (RTVS moderator) as well as the media accepted our invitation to last year’s event.
This year we have tried the regular tradition of presenting awards to employers of people with disabilities in Slovakia with the invitation of representatives of the City of Senec and Slovenská Sporiteľňa, dept. Social Bank for non-profit organizations with an individual assistance program for poor families.
We contributed to the following goals with the project:
- increasing the rate of work and social inclusion of disabled unemployed citizens of the town of Senec
- increasing the social and communication skills of disabled unemployed citizens of the town of Senec
- breaking down prejudices, combating discrimination and xenophobia
